In the latter half of November, we received comments back from the City of Denver on our first "Site Development Plan" (SDP) submission. The type and quantity of comments were to be expected, and we're working with the architects, surveyors, and other related engineers to address them all, with a targeted second submission in mid-January.

We will have an updated site plan as of the next submission, which we will share here in our next update. With those updated plans in hand, we'll work with the general contractor and architect to refine the project's cost and schedule, which we hope to report on in our next update, too.

  • Baruch Hashem, we have reached another major milestone! Our "Site Development Plan" (SDP) was submitted to the City of Denver right before Yom Tov, on Monday September 30th.

The SDP process will involve several back and forth conversations and submissions to the city, which will span several months. The first submission is the hardest and biggest lift, which we are excited to have overcome.

This keeps us on track to B'Ezras Hashem have building permits in hand by the end of next Summer.

Feel free to review the submission file here. If viewed on a PC you can really see the tremendous level of detail that has gone into these documents, reflecting the many, many hours devoted to our project by our team of architects and civil engineers.

  • We will be working with our General Contractor to price the work. This process will include sessions devoted to value engineering the project to ensure that we will be able to build our beautiful new Shul and campus while doing so as efficiently as possible and getting the most value for the funds we raise.

Baruch Hashem, our process with the city is moving along at an impressive clip.

  • Our Architects and Civil Engineers have addressed the few initial comments that the city had to our plans, which has now moved us into the crucially important "Site Development Plan" (SDP) stage.

  • We anticipate the first SDP submission to the city to occur at the beginning of September (two months before the city deadline!).

  • The SDP process involves several back and forth submissions to the city, which will span several months.

If everything goes according to plan, B'Ezras Hashem, we will have building permits in hand by the end of Summer next year.

Our continuing fundraising efforts have moved to the second phase, including reaching out to our broader base of constituents. This has already begun to bear fruit, and we are seeing very enthusiastic responses and positive momentum from our efforts.
